The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA might be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office focused on service the SRD area on a regular basis. The assistance point produced for intervention activities a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all prospects and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
